darkness + uv lights in the midst of a humid malaysian night within a half open air / covered car park just wasn’t what I’d call perfect weather.
'twas hot. 'twas sticky.
if you're not a mosh pit lover, this will not have been ur cuppa tea but heck what a workout it was just standing in the main arena sauna. with human flocks + poor ventilation (it IS a car park) it caused some serious heavy oxygen deficiency issues with some. + just when one is terribly dehydrated + dying for a drink, they had these badly placed walking water gals who gave out coupons b4 one can actually purchase a drink. so the transaction of getting ur sweaty palms on some form of liquid was:
1) find these red-clad ‘water’ gals who had these coupons which had to be exchanged for cash +
it doesn’t help when they’re nowhere to be seen when you badly needed them
2) find the bar area where the drinks were all stashed
3) push ur way thru d gazillion other q cutters
4) get d attention of d drink attendant 2 get ur order
5) coupon, drink exchange happens

d musique:
had to admit benny b = uber gut. d crowd got hooked quickly @ d main arena, vibrations reverberating across the car park floor was a tad worrying (the brain started thinking.. hmm.. if we hit the same frequency as the floor.. it could collapse) but I guess it meant that everyone was havin’ a good time. d urban space where the r’n’b songs were played had good music mixes but only thing was it was even hotter than the open air main bit. didn’t stay til d end. but I’d have 2 admit, all in all, it was pretty good for an international-scaled rave… perhaps d next one has better ventilation + easy access to drinks. ‘til the next one comes along…
